How these figures are compiled

  • Fees are transcribed line by line from each institution's official fee schedule for international students, and each schedule's date is shown.
  • Every amount is the total for the whole programme. Yearly or per-semester fees are multiplied out, with the arithmetic in the line's note.
  • Optional fees and fees billed in another currency appear on the programme page but are not added to the total.
  • We add no fees of our own; fees are paid directly to the university and the relevant bodies.

FAQ

Questions about fees in Malaysia

How is “total listed fees” calculated?

It is the sum of every compulsory ringgit fee for the whole programme, as the university publishes it in its fee schedule for international students: tuition, EMGS, registration, administration, refundable deposits and so on. Optional fees, fees billed in another currency, accommodation and living costs are not included.

Which bachelor's degree has the lowest fees here?

Across the 668 programmes at the 8 institutions listed here, the lowest total listed fees for a full, on-campus bachelor's degree are RM 52,200, for Bachelor (HONS) in Business Administration at Lincoln University College. Compare within your field too — the spread between subjects is large.

Why are some fees marked as a promotional price?

Tuition at City University Malaysia is a special promotional price that is not open to every nationality: the university names the eligible regions and excludes some countries, including several in the Gulf. The full list and the published fee are in the tuition note on each programme page, and our advisors confirm your eligibility before you apply.

Are these fees up to date?

Each university publishes its schedule at a different time, and the date of every schedule is shown next to its figures. Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN)'s schedules are older (Undergraduate fee sheet February 2023; postgraduate fee table November 2020); University of Cyberjaya's schedules are older (2024 fee structure, updated 12 January 2024), so confirm the current amount with our advisors before paying.

Does applying through Neogoals change the fees?

No. The fees shown are the university's own, and they are paid directly to the university and to bodies such as EMGS.
