Documents Required to Study in Malaysia (2025 Full Checklist)
1. Passport Copies
You need to scan ALL pages of your passport (even the empty ones). The passport must be valid for at least 18 months.
2. Academic Transcripts
High school results for Bachelor's applicants, or Degree transcripts for Master's. If they are not in English or Arabic, they must be translated.
3. Passport Photos
This is where most student visas get rejected. The photo must meet strict requirements: White background, size 35mm x 45mm, and neutral expression. Do not wear white clothes against a white background.
4. No Medical Checkup Before Travel
Good News: As of the latest regulations, you DO NOT need to do a medical checkup in your home country before traveling. You only need to complete a health declaration form online. The actual medical screening happens after you arrive in Malaysia.
