International students ARE allowed to do internships IF it is a mandatory part of their degree program. The university will issue a support letter for your visa to remain valid during employment.
Paid vs Unpaid
Most internships in Malaysia are PAID. The average allowance is RM 500 - RM 1500 per month. Tech internships often pay higher (RM 1500 - RM 2500).
Where to Find Them?
Use platforms like JobStreet, LinkedIn, and your university's career centre. Big companies like Grab, Shopee, and Maybank run structured internship programs.
